    hey all,

i know ive tried to help people a lot with any emissions related questions. however, higher ups at my work decided that i shouldnt have done this and they let me go from work today. it totally blows too, my job kicked ass, i got to see awesome cars and meet some cool people.

anyway, people were misunderstanding stuff i was saying, i NEVER said i was a referee, people just didnt seem to understand that. im still going for my smog license, and if you have any emissions related questions i will be glad to help out, prefereably through email or IMs.

just to let you know the BAR has been on this page, so it might be a good idea to not list any mods you have done to the car if you live in CA.

let this be a reminder that stangnet is a public forum and people read this forum.

    That sucks Big-Time BDCardinal.

Well the BAR wouldnt be after me, my car is smog legal. The fines are just to stiff to mess around with that...

I doubt "The BAR" has been on this webpage, but lets pretend they were. You mean to tell me "The BAR" is going to track down everyone's California name and address and prosecute them? I'm sure they have better things to do than track down stangnet.com members that have modded their 'stangs :)

i dunno, they seem to have taken the time to read a bunch of my posts.

i dont think they will go that far, although Mitsubishi did go on a bunch of EVO forums and got SCCA records and voided a bunch of warrenties.

Well its not a problem for me personally because as I said earlier, after reading this post, I donated my Mustang to Green Peace and now ride the bus everywhere. Its well known The California BAR tracks every stangnet member's user name, cross fereferences it with the FBI's "High risk profile SMOG violators" database, then finds out stangnet member's cars VIN numbers, addresses, etc then prosecutes them. All California residence of Stangnet are doomed and living on borrowed time! This has been proven by the original post in this thread. The lesson to be learned here is: Don't F' with the California BAR man! They're a bad mother...... shut yo mouth!

if they' are reading this they need to know that my i'm running no smog pump, no cats, my Nox reading is off the scale and I plan on dropping in a carburated 512 in my car this summer just to **** them off and be another of us few thousand car enthusiasts who produce more smog than all of those millions of new cars in california combined

seriously, if you are reading this, please dont make us the car guys be your escape goats for your poor environmental situation(if its as bad as they make it seem to be). out of oh, i dont know about 50 million or so cars in California, i'd bet about .01% or so are "hot rodded" cars, but even then, most of the time these cars are either driven on the weekend, ie not every day, or have engines that are actually cleaner than what they originally came out of the factory with! The thing that pisses me off is that you could have a "race only" blower, or modification on your car but yet pass the sniffer test and still be "illegal" to drive on the street. just ridiculous and i hate that with a passion. stop making us the escape goats for your problems, theres so many diesels out there poluting much more than even some built up cars.
If i had the guts to do it i'd remove all of the smog equipment from my car and drive it around like that with a built engine but because of these "laws" if i get pulled over i could face severe fines, absolutely ridiculous
