After a few setbacks, I finally got to start my new engine. I have a couple of questions though. While the car is running a buzzing sound will come and go. Sounds like it is the ccrm. I have heard of them buzzing but usually it is a constant buzz and its because of a bad ground. I will be checking grounds and maybe adding a few more, but does anyone else have any suggestions. Also with the key on the fuel pressure gauge only shows about 20psi. Then when the car started with the vacuum for the afpr plugged, the needle jumps from 36-39 psi, and with the vacuum on the afpr, it jumps around from 31-34. Why does the needle jump around like this? Also when I turn the key off the pressure bleeds out almost instantly. I have checked for leaks and havent found one. I heard it could be leaking back into the tank. Any ideas?
I thought about this also. I guess I will have to wait and see if more grounds helps the issue. I was also having problems with the new battery not charging. Tryed it on 2 different chargers and neither would charge it. Returned it and will try the new one tonight. Im hoping all these issues are related and work themselves out with some more grounds.
What is the output from the alternator? It should be about 14.5 vdc with the engine running at idle. Your UDP's may also cause the charging problems.
Ok the buzzing is only at idle. I can rev the car up and it will go away, but as it idles down it gets louder and louder as the rpms go down. Im stumped. Help
