Just turned 5k miles on my 06 GT. Have recently noticed a "whinning" noise coming from front end passenger side when making left/right turns at all speeds. Noise is more noticeable after driving car for a few miles. Any thoughts on what is causing this?

    Thanks...Rolly Boy

Is it when the wheel is all the way over? If so all fords sound like this under full steer. It's just the power steering.

There was another post concerning this problem on this forum last year. A lot of 'Stangs have that whining sound when turning, including myself. One person took their 'Stang to the dealership. Ford changed the Rack & Pinion; it solved the whining-issue, but Ford kept that 'Stang for 4 weeks.
I took my GT to the dealership; they looked at my GT for about 3 hours and couldn't find anything wrong.
The sound is typical for these new 'Stangs. It must be a factory issue. I've learned to deal with it.
