I bought my GT last December and about 2 weeks ago my CD player started freezing up. I have to turn off the car and push the radio button to turn it off then start my car and the radio will work again. When this happens every button stops working. I would wait and get an aftermarket radio.

That is what I did. I got the base radio, and pulled it out the first weekend I had the chance.
I slid in an AVIC-D1, and it is simply way too cool. Fits perfect, looks clean, and the GPS guidence is unbeatable. Now I have on screen XM radio, and a factory installed look.

I have had an AVIC-N1 in my Yukon for over a year, and NO problems at all.

I would go skipper 500 and do what 06GTVert said.
WAY too much money for a speaker and amp.
Still factory look and a much better system, aftermarket stuff has warranty too.
IMO the ford warranty is all but useless, have you tried to have anything fixed?

They will always find a reason not to fix it IF they can even find the problem, at least thats the way they are around here. I would rather go to the dentist than try to get warranty work done.
