What Mods are recommended for a stock 01 Cobra that will provide most bang for the buck. I am thinking 3.73 gears, CAI, shifter, exhaust (I am not sure if headers, h-pipe and catbacks should all be installed). Are under drive pulleys worth it? Do they affect my accesories ability to charge and cool the engine? What about the A/C? I would appreciate any input.

Nitrous!!!!!!!!!! I went 3.73 but most will tell you to go 4.10/4.30/4.56. Depends on you driving wants. I have done all the mods you list and the only ones I could really feel were headers and the gear change. You just do all the rest so that together they make a diffrence but by themselves are hard to notice. I would do the whole exhaust if you can afford it. Pullies just add to the whole picture of increased torque and horsepower. They had no affect on the Alternator, cooling or A/C. But I think they could cause an issue with charging if you have a fancy aftermarket stereo system that needs many AMPS.

gears... i'd go 4.30s personally. full exhaust and some u/d pulleys would be nice too. the long tubes may be a bit pricey after parts and labor, but an o/r midpipe and catback will still bring a smile to your face. but before any of that, i'd go ahead and get a shifter. good luck.

    4.30's in a NA setup, 4.10's for a blower.

A good shifter, SFC's and Longtubes with a good o/r midpipe and weld in mufflers. if you go with a cai, go JLT.

I stay away from U/D pulleys but if you want to get them thats up to you.

    Agreed.
Also, stay away from them if you plan on going with forced induction.

I have under drive pulleys on mine with no problems cooling. I like the Steeda short throw shifter. I have the 4:10 which are great but 4:30 should be fine. I prefer the Bassani catted X pipe vs Mac uncatted H pipe for low end torque feel even though there in no emission in my state. The H pipe sounds great but there is no low end grunt. I found the aft cat made a big differnence form stock to delta flow masters OK, but with el chepo's ""glass packs"" (similar to Borla design but $37 a piece for the muffflers tremendous power effect.
