Stock Ride heights?

Can I get some measurments from new stock GT rears. Like the fender gap of the stock springs from the ground to the fender well. Please also post with the amount of gas in the tank. I put eibachs in the rear and forgot to measure first. Please post, thanks

I can't remember if I took the measurement before or after 18" rims and 275/40s, but it was like 4" in the back on my otherwise stock 01 GT vert

Does anyone happen to know from the ground to the fender lip? And I think a vert might be different. But thanks

As long as your car rides and looks good what's the difference? Most cars aren't exactly the same ride height anyway, so it might be hard measure what someone else's car was compared to yours. Just curious, why didn't you put eibach's on all four corners?

I did the rears first cause they were easier, I just haven't gotten to the fronts yet. That's this weekend. I just wanted to know the heights to see if the springs even dropped it any because the eibachs were actually taller than the stock ones.

Did you get the pro's or sport's........also, the spring rates are different between them and stock. I take it you got the pro-kit, because if they were sportline's, you'd notice without asking.

stock height before my Eibach sportline install was measured from ground to through centerline of hub to fender.

front 28.75/29 inches
rear 28/27.75 inches

after Sportline install with isloaters in and front sway bar links tightned down

front 26.75/27
rear 26.5/26.5

so 2 inches up front, 1.5 in the rear.

Do you happen to know how much gas you had at the time?

I just got 27 7/8 after the prokit install without top isolators w/ half a tank of gas.

Did you do the install yourself? If you did, was it easy?

The install is easy, took be and a friend about 3-4 to do both front and rear, but we took and our time and you should be careful around the springs the first time to you remove them so you understand how they behave.

Anybody else? No one knows there measurements on 17's?

Mstang...dude stock wheels on my 2002GT are 17 inches 245/45/17 before I switched them. Not sure what you are trying to figure out. If you havent noticed most of cars do not set level when stock and even after strut and spring install without coilovers it will be tricky to get the car to set prefectly level.

I only care about the rears. All I'm saying is, my car with Eibach's is setting the same height you were with stock springs. I got your post mixed up with someone elses. One person posted with 18's.

Mstang...cool I see, I'll go out and measure my rears for you tomorrow, I now have 18 inch wheels with 275/35's, and I'll check the gas level too.

Do you happen to know how much difference 275/35's compared to 255/45's. Also, you have sportlines right?

MSTANG, there is something called +1 or -1 sizing in wheel/tire combos. Meaning if you go from a 17inch 45series to an 18in 35 series tire you actually maintain the same overall diameter or down to 16 inch 55 series etc, this is done to make it easy to change rim size and not effect speedo calibration. in my case the Goodyear F1's I run on 18 inch wheels are actually 25.5 inch high, and the stock 17 inch 245 where 25.7 inches high. the 2/10 of inch is effectively not noticable because a variance in air pressure would make up the 2/10 inch height. So the rim size in my case is not a factor in ride height. And yea I have Eibach Sportines.

I have the pro kit springs, and the stock springs were definitely taller than the eibachs'. My car sit's lower all the way around. I got a 1.5" drop on my vert. I'm not sure how your car could possibly be sitting at the same height as stock, unless your install wasn't done right???
