I am new to stud mount roller rockers. When I install my rockers follow the instructions provided by PRW. I notice that the rocker arms do not seat all the way down onto the studs base. Is this normal? I am used to pedistal, where the rocker arms fulcrum is mounted to the base. Here's a quick diagram out my problem. Yeah, I know it's lame but it shows my problem.

LOL! yeah excel. So the rockers are supposed to "float" on the bottom and not have a seat? I thought there would be a shim or something for it to sit on at the pivot point.

well they are supported by the tip of the valve and the pushrod. Your fine, they dont ride on the step of the stud.

I thought that looked familiar :D

    They do float by design.

I think this has a lot to do with why stud rockers tend to make more noise than the bolt downs.
But that is a different ball of worms.
