I know these are based off the same 3.8L OHV engine design, but what are the differences?

Does the SC use different pistons? Rods? Crank? What about the heads?

I was wondering about a 99+ 3.8L V6 with Supercoupe engine and a turbo instead of a SC. I think it'd be pretty fun. Anyone tried this?

The SC's got smaller cooling channels in the heads for 1.

Is this because the intake and exhaust ports are larger?

No, the heads are the same but the SC got smaller cooling channels.
Guess they made them that way to make them sronger due to the boost
