    Hi

I'm going to change the ATF in my T5 in the next few days just for my own piece of mind. Doing a quick search focusing on t5's and i see alot of people here in other forums saying either

a/ Synthetic ATF is a waste of time and money.
b/ Now my trans shifts like butter.

In my last car i put in mobil 1 synth ATF and day to day driving it was maybe slightly better, the only huge improvement was on really cold days it didn't feel like i was stiring up oatmeal, it felt normal immediately. Thats almost worth the price of admission for me right there.

Anyone here had any personal experience one way or another? I mean yes theres a cost difference but its honestly probably only going to be one time and only 3 litres worth.

    Thanks

no personal experience, but i hear royal purple has helped alot of folks achieve the "butter smoothness" effect. never heard of anyone saying it was a waste of money after switching fluids.
