    are you using a v6 t5?

if so... i dont' see why it wouldn't work.. it would be a lil weaker than the gt tranny and have a different 5th gear ratio

no i don't have a t5 unless what is in my 95 v6 is a t5 someone said it was something like a t35 or 45. i just wanted to know if the v8 t5 would bolt in with no mods to the crossmember or driveshaft if i put my built carbed 5.0 in.

    the one in ur v6 is a t5.. i don't believe they have ever made a t35... and a t45 is a 4.6 gt tranny

the v6 and v8(5.0 not 4.6) tranny crossmembers should be the same, because the trannys are identical except the gt internals are stronger and have different 3rd and 5th gear ratios

and i'm pretty sure the driveshafts are the same as well..

they have the same ford racing part number for an aluminum driveshaft

ok cool but do you think this tranny would hold up to burnouts and scratches in 2nd. my motor is probably around 300 hp or more. not sure. can i use the same v6 clutch or does it need changing. dang now that i know this i may put my carbed 8 in sooner

i would try to find the v8 t5.. it's alot stronger..

also would need to use the 5.0 clutch and flywheel..

i'm not sure if they are the same or not
