I drove into one of our ford dealerships this morning just hoping that they might have an 05 in stock, sure enough they had one GT left that had already been sold and was waiting for pickup. I managed to get them to let me sit in it and when I did, the first thing in my head was WHOA, so much more solid when you close the door. I'm 6'9 and the headroom was fine, but the leg room left room for improvement, moving the seat back more wouldnt help though because the steering wheel is set so close to the dash. Unlinke the 03 cobra I almost bought awhile back, I can actually drive a stick in one of these, the door panel is much more flush and doesn't block my leg. If they just offered a telescoping wheel, I can see using one as a daily driver no problem, but until then I'm not so sure if I'm ready to hop into one.
I'm 6'4", sat in a 2005 last week. There is definitely alot more room, but it didn't have that cockpit feel like my 95.
Just pull the drivers seat and sit in the back, Hightower style . Seriously though, there is a bit more overall space than in the previous style. Carlos
yeah, I know someone who did that with a VW bug. I can barely reach the wheel as it is with the seat all the way back, thats my biggest complaint. Can anyone say telescoping. And I know what you mean about there not really being a cockpit, sportscar feel inside.
