Well after much hardship and as many things going wrong as possible....My terminator engine is being shipped. I bought computer, wiring harness, clutch, tranny, motor for $3600 incl. shipping. I have a 1997 GT and I will be swapping them out when it gets here in 7-10 business days. Please offer any advice as to how much money I'll have to spend, what parts will be needed, and how much of a headache this is going to be....The guy I have putting it in says he can keep it under $1000 for parts, labor, everything. What do ya'll think???

Does that price include a new hood?

I do have scoop added to my stock hood...The guy installing the engine says he can cut out the bottom part of my hood if there were any clearance issues becasue I have about 2 inches to work with from the hood to the top of the scoop.

The real question is whether the hood can be notched enough to clear the TPS. What kind of scoop do you have? Pictures? The TPS sits on top of the SC inlet and is offset from hood centerline.

Sounds like a sweet deal, I'd love to do it to my '97 Cobra.

    ...or the FR500 motor...

I think I've seen that the stock 94-98 hoods won't clear the blower, even the Cobra hoods won't...You'll need some sort of cowl or Cobra R style hood...

After looking at your pics I'm pretty sure that hood will not work.
