YouTube - 1994 Mustang Svt Cobra 5.0 Exhaust-- Bassani

i really like this ^ best ive heard of the 5.0. in my opinion the thing is
i have gt40 heads and intake, stock cam and i dont know what bassani mufflers those are and im afraid it wont sound like that......i dont want loud loud like i have now. i want the hallow echo sound without no tin! basically a muffler that will eliminate the x pipes rasp.also i decided i am going to keep the x so thats not the answer.lol
as always i have kept my sights on flows/mac,mags,and bassani...but i would love it if my car sounded just like that white svt.....i emailed the guy on YT and he hasnt written me back :(

yep i do just want to order muffles..but bassani mufflers are to $$ so i was just going to buy there dump kit.
but flowmasters are cheap like 65 each on ebay. so for less 150 shipped i can have new mufflers that will squeeze right in....i know i will like flows, but the question is will i LOVE flows:shrug:..those 44's sound sweet though...

idk what kind of sound you really are looking for but here's a clip of a 5.0 stang with MAC LT headers, Dr. gas O/R x-pipe, and a bassani CB and it sounds real exotic to me for a mustang but clean at the same time...YouTube - 1 Of The Best sounding Stang

Makdaddymac, both of those clips, the GT and the Cobra have the Street Competition catback.

I have not forgetten about your clip. The weather is not good, so I am waiting for that to clear up!

flows suck. They sound ~ok at WOT but otherwise they drone and have no character, though I do have a catted H pip so that might be part of it.

Yeah i can agree with you on the older 40 series...But the new super 44's are different and more aggressive sounding...Not like the older flows..Thats what im going with wheni do my exhaust over in spring...:D

the tiny sound i hear is like a thin and small metal rod is tapping the inside of muffler at every combustion. hard to explain really i just hear it and i know it drives me mad! my dad 69 has flow 40's and it just sounds like high pitch tin rumble, kind of like x vs h pipe. except his is staright pipe from the headers?

do you know if the bassani dumped kit comes with the Street Competition mufflers?
i figure i shoudl just buy the dumped kit since its 250 and just mufflers are 100 each!!!!
i guess ordering mufflers would be cheaper. and if i look on the website there are only universal and race mufflers i assume a universal will give the sound of that white 5.0 cobra????
and am i out of whack, when i say i should sound identical o the white cobra? that is my goal otherwise i dont even want to risk buying these mufflers....

Kinda...lol..No i guess because i grew up in the 80's when these cars 1st came out and i remember so many of them sounding awesome..They all had flows..Plus i was told by the shop that does my exhaust work he said the New super 44's are nothing like the older 40's...Im sure they sound close but made way different in design...so i'll give them a try if they arent up to my standards ill go with either spintechs or maybe...see what the Bassani is all about...
    :nice:

the thing i dont like about bassani is the lack of product for sale. i cant find them used,on ebay, or other places like american muscle,50restr0,etc etc.....its like pypes (kind of) everyone has said good things about them but i get thiem and i would rather have straight pipes!
i really need to contact that guy of the white cobra on youtube

yeha ive seen them not to pricey for the BX which is teh lesser quality stainless steel....its like 400.00 no more than 500 if i can remeber.....pretty good for a stainless setup but not good when compared to a 250 pypes sytem or 300.00 flowbasterd kit.....

YouTube - 1994 Mustang Cobra BASSANI exhaust sounds
 silent at idle and sick roar at throttle

so no one is going to agree that the bassani mimics the 4.6 the most...
listen to this 4.6 fast forward 1 minute to ignore the BS.
