I've come to a wall trying to fix my 92. I've had continuing electrical problems with my baby for the past year, that showed up as the lights and tachometer wavering up and down. The waver wasn't much, but never got any better. The battery warning light would start to blink when the wavering got real bad. I replaced the alternator several times, front belt and tensioner, cleaned battery posts and all the connectors I could find. When I replaced the alternator, the wavering got better for a while, but eventually came back. Then the tachometer decided to get tough, and added about 1500 RPM to what the engine was actually turning. Now my baby has decided to get real hard to deal with. This past week, the blinkers decided to quit completely, even though the four way flashers and lights still work. Oh yeah, the interior blower motor quit the same time the blinkers did, and the airbag warning light now blinks constantly. Does anyone have a suggestion besides the cliff repair method??
I had this problem for awhile, it only happened once in awhile though. I have an aftermarket stereo system, so i went and shortened the ground, and removed my Eq () and its ok now. I also noticed it would be worse if i turned on my headlights
