Should the throttle body plastic control gears be lubed? What lubricant should be used? I removed the cover and mine appear to be dry. With as much movement as these gears get it seems that some kind of lubricant would increase the life of these gears. By the way, my blades were opening too far and possibly losing flow/hp. I epoxied a 1/8" thick piece of aluminum to the cast stop. Now the blades stop in the correct position.
