    Do they go together?

Obviously the Steeda + Steeda combo works but what about other intakes?

i have talked to a couple of s197 tuners and they say to stay away from them. this i not like you are putting a 1" spacer under a 5.0 upper intake. they look good but dont do anything for performance. if you are looking at an intake, i say get it and spend a couple more dollars and instead of getting the spacer buy the pullies. but is you show your car, the steeda spacer looks great.

Aem does ay they work on the 4.6 3V and include it with thier intake. All thier intakes doesn't come with the spacer, only the ones that have shown gains with the spacer on thier dyno. People are too fast to dismiss the spacer mostly due to hearsay. Sutton also sells the spacer for our cars. At best it may help and at worst it won't hurt anything. Spacers do work on some applications, I know they work on jeep inline motors, but did nothing for my 4.0 V-6 in my ranger. I'm going to try one with an intake, even if it's only 3 or 4 hp, that 3 or 4 more than I had and they don't cost all that much compared to other mods.

well I just e-mailed the JLT guys they said the steeda spacer and their intake won't fit so that pretty much sealed the deal. If i go the steeda route, however it'll work great. I'll have to see once money starts flowing back in.
