More road scars for the stang: Was driving to work this morning and this cyclist comes burning out of an alley from behind a Dodge Ram. So I hit the brakes and manage to stop pretty easy since I wasn't going to fast and I was going up a steep hill. Only this kid is hauling and he can't stop, just fishtails into me, then slides up my fender and SMACK! You should have heard it All I could do was wince in sympathy. He took out my windshield like it was cotton candy. Wasn't wearing a helmet. I don't know what part of his body made the big dent on my roof, cleaving the ridge line where the trim butts up against. He's going to feel that tomorrow! So fortunately there were witnesses and the PO was cool. He says this kid was an accident waiting to happen and he's been after him for awhile. Turns out this kid lost both his parents awhile ago - makes you feel bad for him. He's getting charged for reckless cycling or whatever, though I said I didn't want to press any charges. But man, I just finished sanding out that roof two weeks ago! 300 dollar deductable and it doesn't matter who was wrong, I've got to pay for it!
