Hey guys, I found I live around the corner from Thumpers. Anyway I am really considering the heads for my 93 coupe. Its stock except for full exhaust and alum ds.
Has anyone done a dyno after getting them on? The heads look great, I was just wondering what real numbers they pull, thanx.
Plus I can save ALOT of money on shipping..lol

Thumper's on Stangnet, Thumper 460 i think, also got a website. Dyno numbers, all that available on there. From what I read and the threads posted on here, when the stripptmobile goes back together, it'll be running the Thumpers, a TMoss ported intake and an E cam with my stock speed density computer, and look stone stock. Check into these further, well worth the price, from everything I've read!:nice:

Its not gonna put up ungodly numbers on the dyno, its the seat of the pants feel what counts, it will pull lots harder, I had some on my 86 for a while and liked em lots!!

On his website there are a few people pulling 260+ RWHP........

I have a set of Thumpers with the upgraded springs, Tmoss lower, and TFS1 camshaft, FMS 1.6 roller rockers,19# injectors, PMAS 70mm and PP 65mm TB and EGR. The car makes awesome power on the street, I have yet to dyno it but it sure woke up the stock motor.

Alot of poeple will tell you not to waste your time with E7's......I wanted to see what I could do with stock parts so I figured this was the best place to go!

Yeah, lot of people think you are independently wealthy, or like buying parts your application will never use, right? Check Thumpers website, though, I don't think all the different numbers put up by those guys was just to sell heads. Ford knew what they were doing, Thumper just helps wake them up. No need to drop four digits to get these things running respectably, that was always the beautiful thing about the 5.0!:nice:

He prolly actually meant FLY-wheel HP. But anyways, still dont listen to GTO.

With that said, one guy in the 5.0 talk section posted like 2 weeks ago. T-Moss ported intake, thumper heads, and a custom Jay Allen cam. Made something like 268 RWHP. Thats pretty awesome if u ask me. :nice:

LOL,,,ahhh yeah! FWHP means "FLYWHEEL" HP! Then you minus the 18% for a Fox body and you have "ROUGHLY" 270REAR WHEEL HORSE POWER (RWHP) Ohh, thats with a stock cam. Thumper can recommend an FT1 cam!

Back2fox, nice numbers. I am trying to decide if paying 500 more for aluminum TF's or GT40X's are worth it, for weight and heat savings.

The aluminum heads will shave 50 lbs off of the front of the car. You will usually loose a bit of bottom end torque with the aluminum heads as well. Where the aluminum heads shine is above 4,000 rpm's. That is where you will see a significant difference. I have not played with any "thumpers" but I did port and polish a set of GT-40 cast iron heads and with matching Cobra intake ect. with a Steeda #19 cam made 310 rwhp and 325 rwtrq. Not bad for cast iron.

Thanks. I'm happy with it, but like always you need more power. I ended up spending the extra $500 on nitrous anyway.

Just gotta decide what you want it to do. If you think you need every last tenth on the track, start spending money, you'll eventually get something faster. If you just want it to have more usable power, and feel like spending money on other things life might offer, several hundred dollars more for power you won't ever use is kinda silly, right? For a good kick in the pants that won't kill you're account, Thumpers sound great, don't they?:nice:
