Ok I bought my wife a 2000 Gt for x-mass. We have had it for 30 days and after driving for about an hour at hwy spd she starts to tick on the right side. I have checked the oil and it's clean but under the cap it's white like their is water in the oil but I can't find water anywere else. could that cause my tick after running about an hour? PLEASE HELP
I think you want to look through THE FORUMS to find a better place to ask this. Not to say someone here couldn't answer your question, just that you would stand a better chance of getting an answer in a forum dealing with the 2000 model. My first move would be to check coolant temperature. If the engines not getting up to heat blow by will condense giving the milky oil. Ticking? Does the car have to be driven an hour before it starts? Does it tick the next day at start up? Even just once or twice? In the Fords I'm use to when the lifters start ticking it's time to check oil pressure.
He could take a drop of the 'milk' and dab it on the tip of his toung to check for sweetness. Any7 kind of sweet could indicate a coolant leak. Good excuse for a scotch mouth rinse.
