Tire/Rim Pic Request

I'm trying to decide what tire size to go with on the front of my 01 GT which will be running an 18x9 Bullit Wheel. I've been told that I should run no larger than a 265/35/18 but the place I'm buying them from does not recommend that size for that wheel on my year car for they said that the "rim can stick out further than the tire". Does anyone have that size tire on a 99+ car on a 18x9 wheel that can post a pic or explain if this is an issue or not? They recommend that tire size for the 96-98 cars on the same wheel.

I'm running Nitto 285's all the way around on 18x9.5 Steeda Ultra Lite II's on a 2002. Haven't had any issues with them , actually on my second set on the same wheels. So I wouldn't think 265's on 18x9's would be a problem.

I have 285/35/18's right now all the way around but that tire is a little too large for the front...it has too much give in cornering. Thanks for the pics

This is before I put my 285's on the rear but this pic has both front and rear with 275's
