today i got the call that my rims came in, and when they opened them up, they were damaged in shipping. i had them take off one of the front rims and put the new one on, just to see if the offset was right, and it was sticking out like an inch or so, maybe a little less. so tomorrow they are going to order another set and will have them within a week. now i do not want the ghetto look where they stick out, even if i have to sacrifice a little of the deep dish in the front. from what i have read, this is what i need to have them order, someone correct me if i am wrong:
    front: 18x8 5.5" backspace 255/45 tires
    rear: 18x10 7.25 backspace 285/40 tires
from what i understand this setup should be pretty close to flush with the fenders, without sticking out.
    thanks for the help!

I don't know how they can get those sizes so fast. They are custom shop only sizes and ususally take anywhere from 5-10 weeks. That's about the right size and backspacing though. I bet that will look good.

i waited 2 months for the 1st set, and they came in and were warped, so they agreed to rush the 2nd set, since i paid and waited so long, i just want to get the size right. i am telling them to go with this size tomorrow then.

I called about the same wheels and was told that they do not do the correct backspacing yet, but they could make them if I wanted to pay for the custom backspacing. Did you guys run into that problem, I wanted 19's.

If I was ordering a set of rims that no one had ordered, or a size no one had ordered, I would have measured. However, these rims, a lot of people have ordered, and I have found a few other posts on other forums, and its all saying the backspacing I ordered is correct for the look I want. And its kinda hard to jack a car up in manhattan, uness you wanna do it at like 2AM
