Does anybody know of anywhere I can get info on some of the issues and various models of Jettas in the late 80s? I'm looking at getting one as a DD while I fix up my stang.

It's like an 87 or so Jetta Carat, and I don't even know what the "carat" part means, but it's being sold locally for CHEAP, and I'd like to not have to DD my stang.

Any info would be GREATLY appreciated.

Not familiar with that model, but usually CHEAP means MONEY REQUIRED LATER.

its the vw site i run, literally has the best VW guys on it.

I think carat is just like a nick name, you have raddo's, rocco's, cabby's, caddy's, but i could be wrong. I know more about the motors and trannys and stuff, my dad has had 4 and we have 2 vw's currently.
