14 at 106, u must of spun for a sec or two with that speed out of the box. anyways, have you heard of nitto drag radials, or drag radials/tires in general? of course it sounds like you're describing something else too

Yeah like don Jon said Drag radials can make a ton of difference. They are very sticky street legal tires made for drag racing. If you are spinning a lot off the line they will help you get a lot more traction. Just make sure and lower the tire pressure to about 15-17 psi and do a fat azz burnout to get them nice and sticky! As far as suspention there are people on here who have more knowledge than me.

well i'm not expert on slicks so if that's what they are then ooops, i take my comments back.

if they are slicks are they sticky enough? and what are you launching at? and with or without nos?

Hey guys :) yes they are slicks but they seem to suck... so i will try find better slicks there is another tire from M/T called ET street which probably will help me a lot.

Ill tried launch with NOS or whitout it goes a lot better if i dont launch with NOS ;) but i still spin.

Anyway i would like somebody to explain something like 'FOUR LINK' cause next year im gonna run like 500hp engine + lot of NOS

Yeah MUSTANG in Sweden is really cool... they are not everywhere, im the only one in my town anyway (late modell)

This doesn't make sense you would have to spin for a long time to get a 14.0 @106 with 300hp +150 shot [IMG] on slicks  are the tracks there that bad.

Well im also an beginner on going to the tracks... but yes the tracks i go to so fare is just abandon airfields so the track sure isnt the best, like running on the street.

Imports in Sweden are cool... most Volvos and Saabs are running the streets here :) and a lot of BMWs Audi etc...

ive heard that not purging the nitrous will help, since it will not kick in on the launch. also try slipping out the clutch a little slower

Kim Check out my web site www.teamzmotorsports.net your car comes equipet from the factory with a 4 link but it is set up for everyday drivability, I make parts that bolt on and make the factory 4 link race worthy, most people see a drop of 1-2 tenths in 60 foot times just by installing them, that translates to 2-3 tenths off your 1/4 mile time. I also have several of the fastest stock suspension mustangs running my parts and hooking 1200 plus hp. on drag radials, Check them out you wont be sorry!

As for the 4-link, yes, you have a 4-link, but it's not quite a true 4-link. if you look under there at the angles of the upper and lower control arms, they are almost parallel. they are supposed to be angled towards each other so if you drew imaginary lines through them, they should intersect at the center of gravity of the car. Stock, they intersect BEHIND the car. The mustang setup is fine for not getting any wheel hop, but not that great for actual traction. Try some new control arms, but really, the best thing to do is to try and relocate them. There are some websites out there with stangs running 1.6 60's and all they did was take the upper control arm and drop it in the front about 1.5" Oh, by the way, it all depends a bit on where the weight of the car is, if you have an auto or manual, etc. etc. Also, the contol arms stock are very flimsy. Try to get(or build) some new ones. And no, i haven't tried myself, stangs keep ending up in the shop being payed by my insurance... :bang:  :nonono:
