Trans Info Denotes

I have a AOD or 4R70w/AODE (not sure) that I got with a package deal with a street rod a couple of years ago Anyway I am trying to denote the style of AOD and also the year as I need that infomation for the Locar shifter I will be orderingto use in it for my custom '51 Ford. The trans did come out of a late 80's mustang that is what the PO told me. Here is the info on the metal tag on the trans. PKAEAI

E9AP EB Can some one tell me year and witch AOD it is a standard AOD or a 4R70W/AODE ?

E9 would lead me to believe it is out of an 89.. Standard aod.

AODE is for electronic- overdrive. Are there any wires coming out of the trans? If not, then most likely it's a plain old AOD

no. Only AOD's. AODE's weree in SN95's
