tremec 3550 goodness

I can finally beat up on my 347 with out fearing the fury of t5 gods.
I installed my 3550 this week. Nice and stout transmission. I like it.

What did you do with the stock t-5??

Is that the high speed 5 speed?

The 3550 comes in .68 or .82 overdrive ratio...
They can handle a beating much better then a T-5

I sold the t5 to my friend.

The Tremec 3550 is rated for higher tq than a t5.

I certainly wouldnt have bought the t-5 if it were behind that 347 for very long

I want a T-56.

The t5 was the 13-52-199 rated for 300 Ft # of tq. It was not beat on either. Shifted perfect no grinds no vibes no problems.....

So you gonna tell me that you dont beat on your 347... Go buy a civic I had the WC T-5 behind my 347 and it didnt last 1 summer....

I didnt beat on it with the t5 because I know how eaisly they break. I broke the t5 in my 66 resto mod. So I babied this one untill I could get the tremec. Now its getting a beating. it looks like thiss when I beat it

That is what its rated for but I have seen and personally know some people running 500-600 ft/lbs through them with no problems at all. You'll love it.
