i was wondering if the 87 TUrboCoupe comes already with forged pistons ...cause many ppl say they do amny say they dont... and ppl think the Talons has them just cause its turbo ........... but they dont ..... so i was wondering if they do or dont and also where is a good site to get a set of good forged pistons for my turbo coupe around 30 to 40 over ....
All the turbo engines had forged pistons stock, but if you need oversize pistons you'll have to look at some aftermarket ones like Diamond or JE.
Boring out the 2.3 block is a bad idea. I'm not speaking from personal experience, but I'm learning from others misfortune and passing my knowledge onto you. By the way, who are "all these people that say the turbocoupes came withOUT forged pistons?"
some guys on other forums i go to i tried tellin these 2 guys that htey were forged and they were liek no there not...so i was like well ill just u all.. so boring it over is a bad idea... or scratch that idea... so what mods do u suggest i do for more HORSEPOWER??? im pickin up a T3 from a friend this weekend but i know for sure i need a exhuast manifold that is externaly w/g ..any suggestion i seen on stingers site his was nice but out of stock... so now what??? alredy boostin 17.5
sorry...Eagle Talon, Mitsubishi Eclipse, and Chrysler Laser all have forged pistons in the turbo models...just like the Ford 2.3L. The factory ain't stupid enough to build them with cast pistons.
Um. What kinda T3 are you talking about? Ford T3's had internal wastegates. Also if you're wanting to put a T3 on your turbo coupe you gotta get a different oil return line. Your posts are confusing.
