I have a buddy who is pretty knowledgeble in turbos, and when I showed him the TC i found in the junk yard, he said it was a definately good find, but go for a bigger turbo. I'm wondering if a bigger turbo would help perfomance, and if there are any bigger, direct replacement turbos for the 2.3. Thanks

Ummm.... a stock turbo will work fine on a stockish engine.

Sounds like your "knowledgeble" buddy isn't so much...knowledgeble.

What year was the TC? Well a 87 or 88 TC does have a small turbo (ihi).
Bigger turbo also has more lag, but will improve power in the higher rpm.

If you just bolt a bigger turbo on, it will be slower than it is now.

Bigger turbo is not better until you have the mods that allow for greater airflow than the stock turbo can accomodate.
