i just bought a 98 cobra and i have a problem with the lights. The turn signals only work if I hold them on instead of clicking them all the way on. Also, sometimes when i use the turn signals, the drivers side headlight will stop working, and the passenger side brake light won't work. I am really confused on what this might be. Some people say that it could just be a flasher, and some people say that it could be the wiper/turn signal switch. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME??
When you say flasher, do you mean a burnt out turn signal? If that is the case, I have only known them to speed up the one that still works. it sounds like a wireing issue to me. Maybe a switch if it was your headlights only, since your brights are on the same lever, but tail lights too? I really don't know though. Sorry man! good luck.
i know what you are talking about. i got my '98 last year and had the same problem (had to hold the turn signal or try it more than once..and if it didn't "flash" then my passenger brake light wouldn't work either). my car doesn't do it anymore but i do remember somebody posting something about this a few months back. it is a known problem and can be fixed (mine just started working fine on it's own). good luck. sorry i can't remember the details on the fix.
