After looking at pics of the underneath of the 05 mustang, it doesnt seem like there would be a lot of room for turndowns after the mid pipe. It looks like if you attempted turndowns, the mufflers would just hang to low resulting in a lot of scraping. Can someone else chime in? Am I looking at these pictures correctly, because there doesn't seem to be as much room like there was on the last generation. TURN DOWNS RULE! Nooo, what I'm saying is that it doesn't look like it is possible/practicle to have turn downs on an 05 since the muffler placement is naturally past the rear axle.
