really depends on what you are gonna use the car for. if you want neck snapping low end power boost id suggest going with a small twin turbo set up. if you want mid-top end power go with a big single....

is your motor prepped for force induction?

I would take the daily driven weekend racer of twin turbo. Just my 2 cents.

build a high revving 306 or 331 with a dart block and then addan HKS T-51r turbo and your set to go.

Why not go twin and get two diferent size turbos? The small one for low end torque and a bigger one for top end. I have a couple friends who have these types of set-ups in their cars( integra and talon) but man they fly!:nice:

yeah the idea of a twin turbo setup, is so you get the bes of both worlds....the smaller turbo will spool up quickly, and give you low end, while the bigger turbo will kick in just as the smaller one is beginning to drop off. awsome setup.

Why do you call bs. A good friend of mine has a twin turbo stealth with a 15g turbo up front and a 13g turbo on the back. It does work and also does allow for strong pull all the way through the rpm band.

OK guys look, it goes like this.....

Get a nice supercharger for the low end, and one huge ass turbo for the top end. Don't ask me how it works because i have no clue, but i know some foreign companies like Renault and Peugeot have been doing it for years to fill the RPM range better.

 Just imagine....supercharger gear whine up to about 3500rpm, then whistle of the turbo after that to about 8500rpm, then that blow off valve hissing durring the shifts....

Im just curious how they fit them both under the hood. I have friends with turbo'd Hondas and DSM turbos and their single 18G and T04e turbos barely fit between the engine block and radiator. we are doing another turbo install in a few weeks if twins will fit without major modification Id love to try it.

yeah the super/turbo setup was used on a lot of old school rally cars. I read something in MM&FF about that on the under pressure page...

sorry to get so far off topic btw...

They fit just fine, the 15g is not much larger than the 13. With the 15g up front theres still prob 3/4 of an inch between it and the radiator.

And i also never said anything about putting those turbos on a mustang just simply showing that you can run a larger, smaller turbo setup....

I will hopefully be doing a twin turbo setup on my stang this winter. Has anyone ever done this small/large turbo combo on a 5.0 before? If so, could somebody give me a link? Or ANYTHING? I would be interested in doing it like this, instead of two small turbos like I had planned. Thanks :)
