Hey all, long time no see. I've been busy with work and my car.
My latest update is a bit of a setback. Me and the car went off roading on oct 20th. I was perfectly fine, but the car took a smack in the nose when I hit the tree at the end. The corner lights broke out, the hood is a little bent up, and front clip has a tear and the right front fender is bumped in. I suppose I could take a picture, but it really isn't bad as it sounds. The hood still latches, and the radiator doesn't leak. The car is perfectly drivable, but I think I'll need to replace a front lower control arm and set the alighnment again.
As for the cause... I think it has something to do with the water injection and 18psi I added several days before it happen. I was in complete shock as the rear end started coming around in 2nd gear at 3500rpm and 40mph. (2nd goes to 85-90 mph if you are wondering). I didn't think it was mechanically possible to spin the tires in that situation. Well, you live and learn. The car is still drivable, and nobody was hurt.
Anyway, the plan will be to fix the cosmetics as I have the money. In the mean time, I will pressure my dad to buy a 2006/7 GT mustang sooner so he can sell me his 97 GT sooner. It is bone stock, but a wonderful daily driver. Good torque, 20/25 mpg real world, and great seats. This will make a great daily driver as I continue to make the 4cyl obsenely fast and more cumbersom for street driving. I always knew I would somehow end up with a V8 for a daily driver, and a 4cyl for autoX and the 1/4. :D

yeah, I love the sound of the GT, but when I drove it the other day, it felt quite torqueless and slow compared to the 4cyl. :D
The 97 will make a great DD though. not enough power to get me into too much trouble, but plenty for getting around town. hehe.

Glad to see you're ok ... and that you're going to keep working on the 2.3T and use a V8 as a DD. It sounds so funny, and I'm pretty sure all of us here love it.
