Sorry guys, some might think Ive fallen off the edge of the earth... Well I got going on the turbo 2.3. Last Id written I had sent the block for a hot dip and was looking for a re-ring kit. Done and done. Ive also insalled the crank and pistons, added the waterpump and the various front covers. I now have a short block that needs an oil pump and pan(Im changing from rear sump to front sump for my application. It feels so nice to get going. I also talked to the shop that will be doing my valve job and assembling some of the head. I asked the guy for a price and said,"what,'bout $4-500?"(Canadian) He replied,"naw, more like $200 plus any replacement parts if needed"...I felt like when I got my first Transformer back in the day! (ah, remember when!) I hope to have the engine buttoned up by christmas (all new sensors, injectors etc.) then it's on to the tranny rebuild and hopefully by next summer the family vacation will be to the sunny south to find a rust free jewel! Anyways, Ill be reading some more threads and shopping ebay later, now I take the family out for dinner (it's friday, TGIF !)

well, when you are in the military and have a hobby such as fast cars. you kinda do fall off the earth! LOL
