Thread from another forum. I thought it was pretty eye opening... UPR A-arm = GARBAGE!!! - Corral Forums
Personally, Im cool with UPR's interior accessories, but wont be buying any suspension parts after seeing that....
thats exacctly it! thats all theyre good for is their interior pieces... thats all ive ever bought from that and even sometimes they cant do that right.
Sucks about the guys getting killed just cruising down the highway. Hell, I don't care if they were hitting the nitrous, if the damn suspension system failed then that was a MAJOR contributing factor to the accident!
Damn...and I was seriously looking into their tubular K-member and coil over set up for my next mustang Project. Oh well...I'll look elseware.
Uncle Meat has a good thread on this in Banana Republic.......If I ever purchase a K-member or A arms it will not be from them........and the bashing UPR did on Zimmerman is just Company suicide......
I have a set of their pro series u/l control arms on my car and they work fine and the welds are great!(good product) When they were shiped the box riped and some parts were lost and I called them up and told them he box was riped and what I was missing. They sent me the parts I was missing with no questions asked. But that is poor customer service on their part in that thread. Atleast UPR is trying to make it right to save their butt.lol
talk about business suicide. personally i was always iffy about how they could sell such high quality (chrome-molly)products as cheap as they would. so i have never consider their suspension products. i already learned the hard way, just cause a company has big ads in the mags doesn't mean your getting your money worth, and the customer service that should go along with it. you will get what you pay for, and cheaper will cost you more in the long run. so i wonder once they close up shop what new name they will restart with?
