very light backfire between shifts on procharged 302

    I have a very light backfire in between shifts at WOT in my 94 procharged cobra..just bought the car, runs great, very docile and tame..under WOT doesnt bust up or anything, just noticed a light backfire and a little hesitation between hard shifts..help please..thanks SN

    is it a back fire into the intake or the exhaust?
    intake- could be a timing issue
    exhaust- excess fuel
