This may not excite a lot of you, to watch Mustangs run 13 seconds, but we had a lot of fun. In one race, I was driving the '07 and Aimee's dad was driving the '05 and we were within .01 of each other haha. Luckily, I got the win light I think Aimee and her dad are both shifting the '05 too early. I can't figure out why it's not hitting 12's with the 4.10's, intake, tune, off road x, drag tires, lca's, Hurst, torque limiters, etc... It's gotta be the shifting. Heck, I'm trapping higher than them and I have 3.31's. If I could stop the bogging in the '07, my MPH is there to run 13.2 but I think I'm going to have to break down and throw some gears in. A couple of runs at the end, Aimee took her dad's red Chevy 305 down the track for the heck of it. Anywho.. here's the video.
It was DEAD. Waited 10 minutes to go once. Otherwise, I didn't wait more than 2 minutes. I've never seen the place so dead. It was awesome! There were at least 3 other S197's there, too. Seemed like half the track was S197's.
Well, originally I was going to get a SC and was going to keep those in for the time being. After giving up that idea, I decided to keep the 3.31's and try like heck to break 12's with them. But with the bogging I'm getting, it's not going to happen. So I have 2 choices. I can throw some gear at it, or maybe I can spray right off the line. Haven't quite decided yet. I like not having to shift to 4th. As you can see, shifting to fourth hurts Aimee's car a lot. Her dad is barely beating my times.
Well, the 60's could be better, but he's got the '05 down to 1.8, which should be good for 12's. He's shifting too early. I'm pretty sure he's shifting before redline on the tach, which we all know the redline is well above that. I told him to shift past that next time.
