uhhhhhhh actually there is such a thing except its not called a "vtech switch." Its real name is a vtech controller. They sell them and it allows you to either manually turn the vtech off and on or you can set it to come on at an earlier rpm than the factory set it on so that way you get more power throughout more of the powerband.

unless you have a well built motor and know how to advance fuel/timing etc, a vtech controller wont really do much power wise so this kid in the crx is prolly retarded but maybe next time ya'll could actually do a little research before you call people liars?

Oh deffinatley i have no doubt that he's a moron ricer. I just thought you meant there was no such thing period. I have a friend who has a Celica GTS and i quote him; "vtech is like a turbo from the factory." Needless to say we make fun of him alot.

To put it in Lamen's terms, all technical aspects aside, when the motor reaches a certain rpm a more aggressive power band hits and the car suddenly jerks forward (you can really feel the jerk in most built vtech motors and newer cars with it).

It was mainly designed as sort of a conservative powerband so that you could drive the car like it was a camry with excellent gas mileage wherever you went, but if say went to the track you'd be in the higher rpms where the vtech would kick in and you'd have extra power to play with.
