    Hello Mustang Fans,

I've been waffling forever on whether to buy a new Mustang GT. It's not the most practical car around, if you know what I mean! But the sun is shining here in northeast Ohio and I feel the need for some horsepower (sorry about the pun) under my right foot. I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger.

My dealer is looking around for an '06 in the color, etc. that I want, but I understand Ford will start building the 2007 Mustangs the first week of June. That's only 2 weeks away! I know the price will go up a bit, which is okay, but I'm afraid if I wait for an '07 the car might not get here for a while. My dealer tells me they should start receiving 2007 Mustangs in July, and that if I order one I should see it then. I guess MAYBE I could wait that long, but it would be tough.......

Does July sound accurate? It would be a real drag to order the car and then have to wait until August or September.

    Thanks,
    Hadda70Mach1

I ordered an 07 at the end of April after a month or so of looking on the internet and dealer lots for what i wanted. The way i look at it if you can't find everything you want in the car you are best off waiting the extra time and getting what you want in it instead of sacrificing some options that you really wish you had but didn't come with the 06 they found. :D

Ok here's my deal. I was told by a few different dealers when I ordered my 06 that it'd take about 4-6 weeks to complete the order. Well that turned into 8, then 10 and now it's week 11. It's not supposed to be in for another week, so we're talking three months for a 1 to 1.5 month job. I ended up finding one pretty much the way I wanted it at another dealer and used the car on order as leverage to talk the price down. All I didn't get on my GT that I wanted was the shaker 1000.

The Shaker 1000 isn't worth the 1200 anyway, just spend that on a nice aftermarket system.
