has anyone one had any experience with warranty claims where they have to send out an adjuster to veryify whether or not it was regular wear and tear or misuse of vehicle........

my trannsmission has metal shaving in it so they said they cant gaurantee coverage till he comes out and looks at it but if they dont cover it i have to pay 470 some dollars and still be out a trannsmission ia m worried....

the only way they wont cover it, is if they can blame it on a "aftermarket" part. if i were u, i would have taken off your nitrous :bang: if the adjuster sees that, he may blame it as the cause of the problem. but good luck, i hope all turns out well. :nice:

Humm... I would have to say that you are over your tranny's torque limit, thus, preasure on the gears are causing the shavings.

NOS comes on quick and really puts instant stress on the entire drivetrain... boosting comes on gradually and itsn't like downshifting into 3rd when your doing 80.....

Depends on how much NOS you are spraying... I wouldn't think you were over 400hp so a current Tremec t-56 should hold up well. I have seen cars with 500hp run just fine on these trannys... The danger is hooking up... you don't want these cars to hook up too well on a stock drivetrain...

welp got good news today dealer called told me they tore the trannsmission open yesterday and found that the second gear had broke off....
any ideas on what may have caused that so it doesnt happen again??

and that the claims adjuster looked at it and said go ahead and fix it under warranty.....

bad news though is transmission is on b/o till july 1st so i will be driving a taures till then... but with gas prices so high maybe it wont be so bad..ya rit this sux specialy since there is only about 3 good months of driving and im will be out more than half of it
