Hey guys. Ive had my kb for 2 years now and i have a antifreez leak. My installer has pointed it down to he said there is a tube that goes from the back of the water pump to the back of the motor and its under the intake an o-ring is bad. Cheap part but alot of labor as u can imagine. Im gonna take this on myself as its only the top of the motor. Just wondering what i will have to get as far as gaskets or bolts? Doesnt seem that complex. Take it all off put it back on? I say that now. Any help would be awsome. Thank you. Oh it an 02 gt.

Removing the intake took me two hours the first time I did it on my GT 2000. The second time it took me one hour. Installing is a lot faster as you already figured everything out. Gaskets are reusable. Take a Haynes or similar and look for tightening torque and pattern. I used 20 lb-ft.

    Good luck!

If you have the all-plastic intake, check for cracks and warping in the front coolant crossover and under the thermostat.

Thaks for the info. There is no plastic intake. It doesnt look that hard, just alot of parts up top. I have replaced the water pump before and i cant get behind it. Its set in a houseing. Of course. 10.00 o-ring 500.00 in labor. Ill do it myself.
