There was a thread a few weeks back in the classic section and the subject came up regarding the weight of the Fox mustangs. Having not yet weighed my 92' Hatch... I figured I would roll over by my works shipping scale and see for myself. I was a bit surprised it came out to be 3,150. A little lighter than I expected. My 67' fastback weighs in at 3010 just for comparison.
3,150 is not bad. My GT came in at 3,300 with the ac/fogs/everything still attached and heavy 03 cobra wheels etc. so minus the fogs and body-kit it sounds about right.
That is pretty light. The car in my advatar is a 93 coupe with no a/c and with the driver in it it's 3240lbs.
thats cool, thought it would be more. mines 3080 with me in it an half tank of gas. im gonna change that though, i really want it to be 2900 with me an 1/4 tank of gas.
My GT weighed 3150 with about a 1/4 tank of gas. No rear seats or rear sound deadener...but it does have a 4 point roll bar. All fogs and AC in place...
My old '93 LX Hatch was 3,160 lbs - 5spd - "loaded" I have weighed a few other cars as well... I have not weighed my '93 Notch yet, but I will soon.
How hard would it be to get to 3000? I have a hatch, I'm gonna ditch AC, I think re-located the battery, ditch rear seats and deadening...probably gonn need more drastic measures huh.
With me in it and the a/c garbage, my 89 GT wieghed a hefty 3350. Who knows what my t-top car is going to wiegh with no a/c or anything.
how? . i want mine that light lol. 87foxstang: that is pretty wierd. what you run at the track, what mods? pm me so i dont have to hijack this thread ha..
3020 lbs. with a full tank of gas, stock 302, Weld big'n'littles, no spare tire, fiberglass hood, '95 leather front seats, t-5.
