Does anyone know how much a C4 transmission weighs without its bellhousing? I am looking at one on eBay that is a half days drive from me, but I want to be sure I can muscle it into the car! Thanks!
Nevermind, I was able to find out from the seller, so for the record-a C4 minus bellhousing weighs 95lbs.
honestly I don't see it being the heavy without the bell or convertor. I can't lift alot of heavy stuff I but moved a C4 with bell yesterday and it didnt feel that heavy. More like 60 lbs. At any rate yeah most everybody can move one around.
That sounds more like it. I can handle 60 okay, but 95 is a bit much for me atleast. Thanks 351. I'm turning my attention to the trans now, just have to get my exhaust on.
