I finally broke down today and put some mufflers on my car. I had some Hooker AeroChamber mufflers in my shed and I have heard that they sound pretty good, and they ranked pretty good on the loudness and HP scale. So I figured what the hell. I brought them to the muffler shop and they just welded them into my turndowns that I currently have for $25.

They arent nearly as loud as my straight pipes were ,but still they are pretty loud, and now it has tone instead of just loudness.

I think Ill hav eto get an extra set of pipes so I can run straight pipes when I want, or maybe some cutouts. :D

The only thing i dont like about it is the ground clearance, or lack therof. Ill go back tommorrow and see if they can pull it up some.

    Finally! haha

They do look a bit low and back a bit from where they should sit, might be just me though. If I look under my car, my x-pipe hangs down a bit but my mufflers are tucked-up and can't see them. What did they use to hang them up? did they weld-up a factory-style hanger on them?

I havent gotten a chance to look at them but the factory hangers were on them when I brought them to the place, so Im assuming that they used them.

Your car does sound rather smooth and stable at 6000rpm, are you running an o/r H-pipe? I dunno if its because of my x-pipe, but I've only had my car at 6000rpm a couple of times and it sounds absolutely insane up there, I'm almost afraid to rev it so high lol.

    Your car sounds great!

Yea, its off. I accidentally got the 4,6 Gauges.

It wasnt really at 6K. My tach is off. But it was pretty close. And yea, I have a BBK O/R H-Pipe.
