I spent a lot of time with the car this weekend and took a number of pics that I wanted to share with you all. Some are HDR's, so are normal shots. Enjoy:

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I need to work on the exposure a little more as some are overdone. With winter coming I'm sure I'll be out getting more pics over the next few weeks.

Looks incredible man. How do you do those HDR pics? Is it the camera or the photoshop program? I've got a D-SLR.... is that what you used?

Paul, you are the king of backdrops.:hail2: Pics look good. The HDRs are exactly the way you described them in the pacecar thread, either a hit or mis.

Its both the camera and PS. You need to take 3 or more pics in camera raw with the stops + or - then you can use PS2 or 3 to tonemap them. You can also use Photomatix.

    Thanks everyone!

95five-oh- I use photomatix software to combine three jpeg images like Rich mentioned. You need a camera that can take three consecutive shots, each at a different exposure. Basically one is over exposed to show detail in the shadows, one is under exposed to show the shadows and add depth, and another is a "normal" shot. The reason for this is to be able to try and get a picture that is closer to what the human eye sees rather than a limited one shot from a camera. Have you even noticed that in low light situations if you put the car in the majority of the camera frame the car will appear bright, but if you try to also catch a lot of the sky the car will be really dark and the sky will be nice and bright with details? The one way to catch both the details of the sunset sky and have the car in full color is to do an HDR image. HDR stands for high dynamic range.

Rich- Thanks man! I spend a lot of time on the road and in my boredom behind the wheel I keep my eyes open for good locations.

Never LOL! I actually like the amber lenses on a yellow car. They are one thing i plan to never change.
