I entered my car for the hell of it. There were quite a few Mustangs, though half of them were pretty much bone stock down to the wheels and 4x4 suspension. They all won a Top 25 award except for this poor Mustang..

I guess the judges didn't like red? Or maybe I should've put underbody neons and a Cobra badge on? Hell a bone stock 95 Mustang got a Top 25 award, so did an 04 V6.

It just depends on what kind of people show up for the show. Most of the time a car with a blower will win, but some people will think since you have a blower you probably always win, so they voted the opposite. At the Mustang Round-Up (World's Largest Mustang Show in Bellevue, WA.) I got 2nd Place in the Mach Division. A blown Mach got 1st Place. He should have been in the Modified Class, but he slipped into the stock class.

Did you put some glitter around your car? Maybe a stuffed animal inside? How about a "Don't touch my car" sticker? Or a board with stickers from all your mods? Sometimes it's all about "showmanship". :rlaugh:

Sweet car dude. I had my car in a show the first year I bought it with no mods. I won a "best in class" or something like that but I had already left the show and didn't pick up my prize. I didn't expect it. A friend told me later that I should have stayed for the awards.

I entered my car once...everybody thought it was stock...even though I removed the rear wheel so you could see the IRS, coilovers, big brakes, etc... And of course the whole hairdryer under the hood...

F' car shows. Your car is awesome :)

your car is awsome man, i dont see why it didnt get the credit it deserves.
In july i entered my car in a local car show, theres no prizes or ranking in it but it was fun anyway. I didnt expect the stang to get as much attention as it did. Made me proud.

I always get top 'whatever number'. I sometimes think others should get it too, but they don't. The truth is, i think most car shows are rigged. The judges at small local car shows are amatuers who don't know what they're doing. They will give a trophy to someone just because they know them. It happened in my town. The judges owned a GM dealership, and they gave a trophy to about everyone who bought a car from them. The real judges are the ones who judge at MCA events or other events like that. You should have definately got a trophy, but i guess the judges knew 25 of the participants personally.

The only thing is is that your trunk wasn't open. Sometimes they will walk right by your car if the trunk isn't open.

I know how you feel, a couple months ago I entered my car into a show also there was a KB 04 Cobra, SRT8 Charger, and a few more sweet cars. It was mostly a import show but they had a best domestic and a fn "Pimped Out" Chevelle wit 22s that made it literally have a 4x4 stance to it won it.

btw the best in show was a riced out PT Cruiser.
Many other ppl there were baffled over me not winning anything when other bone stock looking Mustangs won. I guess I can't please them all. Oh well, I love my car. That's all that matters.

Given the taste that the judges had it would have been an insult if youd won...Your car looks great btw, one of my favorites!

The local car shows like that are a popularity contest. The few that I have entered in here in SoCal, each entrant into the contest votes on their favorite car in their class. Typically, the more friends you have entered into the show, the more likely you are to place.
