I don't have a lot of experience with nitrous, but his 125 shot only made ~66 HP over N/A? I guess it did make almost 100 ft-lb at peak. Other than that, sounds like a solid running car! :nice:

it is what it is, I guess it didnt take to nitrous to well..I forgot to mention that the car has no accessories, only an alt. and electric waterpump.

numbers are low, like said above your torque should have been higher on motor. also which kit are you using? with nx you gain what they rate there kit at at the wheels. What was bottle pressure, a/f, fuel pressure, timing... need more info

I believe its an nx hitman plate kit, I dont understand how nx could rate their kit at the wheels?? not every engine combo is going to react to nitrous the same, bottle press. was around 900psi,fuel press. 7.2psi(should be 5psi but running a single reg.)af was a pretty flat 11.5 on nitrous, base timing 14' 35' total on motor and taking out 3' w/timing retard on nitrous.

yeah something dont seem right. they n/a hp number looks pretty good actually but the torque is way low.

and something isnt right iwth the nitrous set up, either low bottle pressure or incorrect jets, you should be seeing way more than 66hp gain on a 125 shot.

The toque number being low is prob b/c of the carb. They tend to make more high end HP but less tq with a similar combo as a an efi.

Yeah hat nitrous hit seems way off. I am running a 150 shot and if I don't gain AT LEAST 130 w/ it on the dyno I'll be mad. I am hoping to put down 430 or so.

Bottle pressure was a little low if you read the nx booklet it will tell you that the best pressure is 1050 and thing below will run rich and anything above with run lean. Well I look at it like this Nx rates theres at the wheels as other companies rate theres at the flywheel. If you compare Nx kits to the others you will see for the same shot they use bigger nitrous and fuel jets. The 150 shot I have on my car I did some comparing to other kits which would be the same as a 175 shot rated at the flywheel.

I was going to say the low numbers on the bottle could be from low bottle pressure but if it was 900 that should be fine....

Gotta tell you, I thought I was going to open this thread and see a nasty 408 dyno....

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't HP increase be the same at the flywheel as it would be at the wheels? If you gain 100 hp at the flywheel, its still going to be 100 gain at the wheels, you just loose that ~30 through the drivetrain, thats what is constant.

Ex: N/A 300 FWHP, 270 RWHP ; nitrous 400 FWHP, 370 RWHP. Both numbers see a 100 HP gain, both RWHP see a 30 HP drop from drivetrain losses (assuming peak numbers occur at the same RPM).
