well i went to the track with my svo , my first few runs were all mid 16's which sucked and i was trapping around 88 mph, then i watched my boost gauge while goin on my 3rd run and saw it wasnt keeping full boost, so i went and got some real fuel and unhooked my knock sensor in the hopes that it was the issue, next run after that was 15.9 at 84 and ill post my slip up of the last one, i think she might be able to get low 15's or high 14's if i can get it off the line, but i was having huge problems getting started good, id either bog real bad or spin real bad:nonono: so i need to practice more on launching

    r/t- .285
    60'- 2.402
    330- 6.614
    1/8- 10.015
    mph- 73.00
    1000- 13.030
    1/4- 15.665
    mph- 84.62

crazy thing was i was trapping 88mph on my slower runs but only 84 on my faster runs, and on my last run the guy next to me ran a 13.285 and from 1/8th to the 1/4 he didnt gain any time on me:shrug:

What boost levels are you seeing? You have something in there besides the stock gauge?
Not bad for the first time out, but the trap speeds seem a little low. what elevation?

i had no idea the car had 4.10s until i started tracking down the cars history and found at a dealership that a previous owner had brought it there to have them installed, ive been seriously thinking about putting it back to the original 3.73's

The knock sensor can't control boost, that most certainly wasn't the "fix" to your boost problem.

The reason you slowed down after you added the race fuel is because it has a slower burn rate which means you made less power after you poured it in.

Stock 86 SVO's typically run 88-91mph when in good running form. Looks like you are right in that area.

The reason your ET was faster but MPH was lower is because you got a better launch/start on the last couple runs...

Get an adjustable boost valve and a K&N cone filter and it will trap ~90mph if you leave the boost at 15psi. It will trap 93 or so at 18psi. Add a full 3" exhaust and you'll get another 3-4 mph (30+hp gain).
