    guys
do you think it would be cheaper to build a 2.3turbo? I have a few 2.3's lying around here. one's from my 88 ranger. do you think I could just buy the turbo internals and externals and turn that into a turbo motor? would it be cheaper you think? can someone double check me on this list of parts?

    turbo rods + pistons
    oil feed tube
    exhaust manifold
    higher # injectors
    turbo
    intercooler

is that all I would need extra? I have a complete new set of bearings and seals and i have a good head that can be rebuilt. but would it be cheaper in the long run?? I would still like to pick up a doner car for everything. what should I do???

    Forged pistons
polish the rods and use ARP rod bolts
use high quality bearings like Michigan 77
then route the oil return from the turbo either into oilpan.

For the reast use stock turbo parts I dont think you will have a problem
