What cam to use

    Can anyone recomend a cam for a 2.3 liter daily driver with a automatic transmission? Please include cam specs., any problems related with the motor after it was installed.Who manufactured it, and the price.

    Ranger Roller Cam, Stock, Dont know the specs but for the money its a good buy.

    if your 2.3 is the dual plug engine you have that cam

    His user profile says he's got a '92 LX so he does the ranger roller cam.

    People just call it the "ranger roller" as a way to distinguish it from others. Also the specs on the ranger roller are no better/different than any other factory 2.3 cam, it's just a cheap way to upgrade to a roller cam if you don't have one. I dunno why everyone acts like the ranger roller is some kinda hot cam.

    BTW a cam isn't gonna do much on a stock engine, so don't bother trying to go to something exotic.
