http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2454359206&category=6236 what color is this exactly I'm not the greatest on some of the colors of the 70s but this seems like it might be a good substitute chrome yellow for my F-150.
It does look more Grabber than anything in the pics, but it could be bright gold poly if it is even a 70 color. Here, judge for yourself. http://www.metromustang.com/FordExterior/1970ExteriorPaint.html In any case, I think clone is a poor choice of words, dressed up as a boss maybe, but that is about all the resembelence I see.
Well using the Metro thing the color I want/need is that Bright Yellow, however their paintchips are pretty inaccurate. So any other ideas?
That isn't one of the golds that was available that year... I've painted my car Bright Gold Metalic which looks like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6236&item=2453650800&ssPageName=STRK:MEBWA:IT The medium gold is even a bit darker than that... That color appears to be closer to Grabber orange, but I personally think its closer to school bus yellow (which is what Parnelli Jones used on his infamous #15 Boss302). Hope this helps...
