What EXACTLY is the VAM wiring harness???

    i have an 86 tc motor....with to complete wiring harness. i've been told i don't need the harness...just the vam harness. i've looked everywhere on what exactly is the vam harness...stingers site...all of them!. my question is what exactly is the vam harness??? what wires...how many wires does it consist of?? can somone tell me what wires i need to cut and keep??? thanks to all in advance

    It's the wires that plug into the vam. nothing magical, thats it. Find it in 2 ways, find the specific jack that plugs into the vam, or using all the sites you've reviewed, look for the wire colors specified. If you just have wiring harnesses, and they aren't in a car any longer, this is real easy to do. I've done it quite a few times now. :nice:

    Just following you around 140 :D

    J/K;) I was going to say if you he finds a donor car to make sure he cuts enough wire off with the pig tail ( VAM connector) so when he solders it on he will have plenty to mess around with.

    lol, yeah cut off as much of it as you can going back to the main engine harness. It's like 2' of wire.

    alright guys thanks a bunch....i think i was making this alot harder than it is. i have the whole wiring harness so finding it now should be no problem. thanks again

    Its human nature to complacate things :D Just look at SVO still not running and I'm buged out about bolt sizes etc :rolleyes:
